The holding furnaces are fed only with liquid aluminum from a separate melting unit. This solution ensures an extremely high quality of the alloy.

MARCONI holding furnaces are built with the following strengths:
- Loading nozzles designed to counteract gassing phenomena during the filling phase with liquid aluminum
- Automatic doors for loading and cleaning
- Basin shape with patented design without corners: facilitates cleaning operations and counteracts slag buildup
- Flame with automatically controlled combustion: high production with a clear reduction of oxides and extremely low consumption
- In the electric version, silicon carbide resistors are used, which are immune to aluminum droplets or slag deposits
- Waiting basin for molten aluminum with more constant temperatures
- Patented removable vault that allows the vault to be detached from the furnace body for convenient internal extraordinary maintenance
- Positioning in the most complex lay-outs thanks to the possibility, in the construction phase, to orient the extraction well on an arc of 180° with respect to the loading nozzle
- All models equipped as standard with SIEMENS PLC and eTouch color screen.
